Saga

Saga City is located in the southeast portion of Saga Prefecture and the capital of Saga Prefecture. It was the capital of Saga Domain in the Edo period, and largest city of former Hizen Province. Saga is the historical city and rich in historic remains from Kofun period (from 3 century to 6th century) to the late Edo period (mid-19th century). Every fall Saga holds the "Saga International Balloon Fiesta" in the dry riverbed of the Kase River. Hot Air Balloonists from many countries enter this event.
