Matsushima has the beautiful contrast of green of a pine tree and marine blue in more than 260 islands.
Islands of Matsushima have a peculiar form since the surface of walls was corroded. The green of the pine trees which grow thick on this island, and the rock surface of milk white struck the shadow to the blue sea surface, and have completed the wonderful scene. Historical inheritances and national treasures such as Zuiganji-temple and Godaido are dotted on the outskirts. Matsushima shows an appearance which history and natural scenery has both melted.
