Korakuen

Korakuen Garden is a Japanese garden located in Okayama Prefecture. It is one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, along with Kenroku-en in Kanazawa and Kairaku-en in Mito. Korakuen was built in 1700 by Ikeda Tsunamasa, lord of Okayama. It was completed after 14 years later, and has retained its original appearance down to the present day, except for a few changes by various daimyo. It was the first lawn park in Japan. In the vast area of 13 million square meters of lawn and pond, there are floating island and some buildings such as Noh stage.
